V. Addressing Interference
This chapter shares lessons from the long history of interference in law school clinics as a way to both understand the genesis of interference and means to address it. The chapter begins with an excerpt from the Kuehn and McCormack article (“Lessons from Forty Years of Interference in Law School Clinics”) that identifies patterns from the history of attacks on clinics. The authors then share ideas from their more than 30 years of involvement in issues of interference that can aid in avoiding or responding to efforts to interfere in the operation of a clinic.
